The ACE program Celebrates
10 years of "Making Every Future Count"
with the Grand Opening
of a Second Location
Thursday, September 11, 2008
ACE 10th Anniversary and Grand Opening celebrations, held Thursday September
11th at THEO BC’s Coquitlam location, were a resounding success!
We were honoured by the presence of many guests, including her Worship Maxine
Wilson, Mayor of Coquitlam, Coquitlam City Councilors Richard Stewart, Brent
Asmundson, and Barrie Lynch, Service Canada Project Officer Marie Sparvier,
along with many staff from community organizations as well as ACE clients.
Funded by Service Canada, the ACE program has provided job search services to
over 2,000 clients in the Tri-Cities since 1998 from its Port Coquitlam
location. Over 1,400 clients have been assisted to successfully attain their
goal of employment and now, with the opening of this second location in
Coquitlam (on Cottonwood), the staff team is looking forward to supporting job
seekers living in the western parts of Coquitlam and the Burquitlam area.
Thank you to everyone for their participation and to the ACE staff for their
hard work in putting on a great event!
